- The founders of House Africa had a bold vision; however, they needed our expertise to be able to navigate clearly with a bold and befitting personality and tactics. The relationship began when one of the founders attended a business course at the Mapemond Business Academy in August 2022, that relationship transcended into more business with Mapemond Limited. Our engagement with the company lasted for sixteen weeks and it was indeed a transformational experience for the client.
BACKGROUND
- Sytemap by House Africa is a proptech startup providing solutions in the real estate sector by leveraging blockchain and Map capabilities to build a digital land and property registry to help real estate developers and Governments digitize their payments & allocation processes to increase trust. The brand was formerly under the auspices of House Africa, but became standalone to expand its services, by not only offering a trusted platform that makes the sale of land and property easier, to a platform that provides ease, and trust and incorporates tech at such an elevated level that makes both land and property sale and purchase seamless and trustworthy. The venture had the desire to create a strong impression and be seen as a game changer in the real estate space of Africa and ultimately become a reputable brand, so this brand roadmap template is to help define the brand. To achieve this for the brand, we deployed our full package of the brand development service, and the marketing and sales strategy development service, which includes but not limited to brand audit, identity creation, marketing and sales plan, etc.

The company sought to build a revolutionary solution to change the real estate and property acquisition process in Nigeria, and Africa to enable ease and trustworthiness in acquisition for locals and those in the diaspora who are interested in owning a property in Africa. They sort to do this by infusing high-quality technology and innovation, satellite mapping, a seamless and straightforward payment process for all parties, better documentation, and property investigation and authentication.
To successfully champion this revolutionary solution, the brand also sought to transition from House Africa to Sytemap by House Africa.
However, this revolutionary idea needed a defined identity and proper marketing and sales strategies to make it market-ready and give it a chance at success.

- Engaged the managers in a tasking audit questionnaire to stir up their minds in preparation for the project ahead.
- Carried out a detailed brand audit to ascertain the previous efforts of the business and the present situation of the business to know how best to position it for its future.
- We facilitated brainstorming sessions with management to explain our findings from the audit, gain common ground in the articulation of the new brand, and chart the right direction for the new brand.
- We researched the beneficiaries of their solution (Real Estate Managers, Realtors, Property buyers) to gain an understanding of their trustiest expectations in order to create a befitting value proposition for them.
- We articulated and developed the brand roadmap, which clearly defined the brand essence, vision and mission state, big idea, values, etc. for Sytemap.
- We defined their brand voice to ensure that the brand sounds consistent and recognizable across the board at every instance.
- We defined their brand persona to give the brand a sense of person. This will allow its audience to easily relate to and connect with it.
- We created a new visual identity for the company. (Logo, brand colours, typography etc)
